imgFrances Willard Cranmer Greenman was a noted portrait painter here and in New York. Her first major exhibition was held at the Handicraft Guild in 1913, and her permanent studio was on the fifth floor. Frances was an established society painter in Minneapolis by the 1920s and made portraits for Hollywood stars, including Mary Pickford and Dolores Del Rio.Three of her works are owned by the MIA and one by the Walker. Speaker Thomas Peterson is a retired chef with an art addiction, and owns a collection of sketches and paintings by Frances Greenman.
