Hennepin History Museum:  The Inventory Project

From lion skin rugs to pheasant feather fascinators, the Hennepin History Museum holds a unique collection of 25,000 objects. It is currently undergoing a major, multi-year inventory project which will allow it to share the stories these objects can tell. Collections Manager Heather Hoagland was brought in October 2017 to implement a top to bottom inventory of the entire collection, the first of its kind in the museumís 80 year history. Come behind the scenes of this museum, see some of the amazing artifacts in the collection, and find out how a small museum and a dedicated team of volunteers will be cataloging, digitizing and researching the collection during the next three to four years.
