Talk, Law Enforcement and Intelligence: The Difference Between The FBI and The CIA

Event Date: Thursday, March 22, 2018
Event Time: 7:00 pm
Event End Time: 9:00 pm

Deborah Pierce and Patti Weber, Guest Speakers

Retired FBI Agent Deborah Pierce worked for 27 years conducting and managing criminal and terrorism investigations. Retired CIA Agent Patti Weber served as Chief of Policy for the CIA’s National Clandestine Service and specialized in Soviet Union and East Asian operations. They are both members of the Woman’s Club and have joined to form Pierce-Weber Partnership, with a mission to engage, educate—and entertain!

They will debunk myths and urban legends about the FBI and CIA as they describe how the two agencies cooperate and compete. Topics include the scope of federal law enforcement and intelligence operations; the legislative requirements of the two agencies; the structure and missions of these organizations; and how people in the two agencies do their jobs. Their combined years of experience provide intriguing insights into both the FBI and the CIA.

This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the FBI Minneapolis Citizens Academy Alumni Association and co-sponsored by World Without Genocide. Register through the Front Desk.
