Tuesday Programs: The Gold Star Ride Foundation

Event Date: Tuesday, May 29, 2018
Event Time: 11:00 am

Guest Speaker: Anthony (Tony) Price

Tony Price is a disabled Navy veteran who has enjoyed motorcycles since he was 10 years old. One day about seven years ago, he was invited to go on a motorcycle ride with about 75 other motorcyclists. It was on this ride when he first met a Gold Star Family, and first discovered the need to pay honor and tribute to them. He continued to visit Gold Star Families each year, and two and a half years ago, co-founded the Gold Star Ride Foundation to make taking care of Gold Star Families a national experience. (He still rides to visit local families as well).

Price brings a great deal of experience to the position of executive director. He has more than 20 years of experience as an event promoter and an entertainment professional, more than 15 years of experience operating restaurants and 17 years experience operating a computer company. He has written five books, three movie scripts, and hundreds of short stories about various subjects, including psychology, science fiction, action adventure and history.

The Gold Star Ride Foundation members ride motorcycles to visit Gold Star Families throughout the United States, inviting other motorcycles and patriots to join along the way. Each visit has only two things in common with all the other visits. Motorcycles and life changing moments. No family is the same after a visit.
