Guest Speaker: Dawn Fish
Dawn Fish, CFRE, will give us overview of the panoramic legacy of Minneapolis businessman, milling entrepreneur and philanthropist William Dunwoody, and his wife, Kate. The Dunwoodys were instrumental in impacting the City of Minneapolis and much of what we enjoy in our education, the arts and health care, in addition to thriving businesses such as General Mills and Wells Fargo Bank.
Dawn is director of development for Dunwoody College of Technology. She joined Dunwoody in 2015 after a 30-year career in Twin Cities nonprofits, including the University of Minnesota Foundation, Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation, Scholarship America and the leadership of a family foundation.
She is proud to be a part of the Dunwoody staff now in the final phase of a $50 million capital campaign to renovate the College’s historic campus, expand programs for today’s students, boost its endowment and build a foundation for continued support of William and Kate Dunwoody’s vision of preparing Dunwoody students “for the better performance of life’s duties.”
She holds the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential, and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Metropolitan State University, as well as a master’s of organizational leadership from St. Catherine’s University and a master’s of legal studies from Purdue University Global, in addition to having completed a Policy Fellowship at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
