Todd Lefko will be presenting on international climate change cooperation.

We have many issues facing the US and world, and among them is the reality of climate change. We are reaching the point where we understand the problem and possible solutions but lack the will or the international institutions to save ourselves. We will discuss current patterns, our relationship with nature, and how climate change is a central issue intertwined with nationalism, globalization, food and water, a sense of gain and loss, responsibility, and power.

Todd is president of the International Business Development Company, an import-export firm dealing with water purification equipment, art, linen, kilns, and new technologies. He has worked in Russia for over 35 years, and for 18 years was the weekly columnist for Rossiske Vesti, the political newspaper of the Russian Presidential Administration.
