Song to the Moon
with Laura Sewell, Maria Jette, Barbara Leibundguth, & Sonja Thompson
Humans have always been fascinated by the moon. Song to the Moon explores this fascination by combining songs about the moon—from Henry Mancini to a movement from Beethoven’s “Moonlight” sonata to a children’s song from Sesame Street—with readings of poetry about our nearest celestial neighbor. Following the performance, we’ll head to the Rooftop, where a waning gibbous moon will be waiting for us.
